Skink is an ensemble devoted to spontaneous, textural soundmaking — weaving together ambient atmospheres, subtle rhythm, and intuitive interplay. Featuring Hayden Kinsman on piano and keyboards, Naomi Smith on drums, and Mansell Laidler on double and electric bass, the trio explores the spaces between structure and freedom, tone and silence.

Each performance is a live act of composition — meditative, unpredictable, and deeply responsive. Drawing from jazz, ambient, and experimental traditions, Skink creates soundscapes that invite reflection and stillness as much as movement.

Their debut album, due for release in early 2026, captures this evolving dialogue — a documentation of sound as it unfolds in real time.
